A little while ago I was asked to build some white gloss floating shelves for one of my lovely customers, and there was really no option because there had to be a very specific size. There was no option but to make them from scratch, and one of the only things that I didn't want to have to deal with on this was edge grain problems. So what I've done is I've gone down the route of having face grain on every edge of these shelves and so for white gloss.
Floating shelves like these going for a face. Grain on every edge is a much nicer way of doing things, but it does make the job a bit more complicated, but you'll see how I went about it before I start. I'm just going to give you a quick update, check out to take a door as it stands. If you can see your sticker on there, then thank you for sending it. I've probably sent you one back. Do you want to get your sticker on here? Give us a shout out on Instagram and give us a subscribe and a little thumbs up and stuff, and you can send us your sticker via Instagram. It will appear on the sticker door yeah. The other thing about this project is that you'll see at the end.
You'll see the shelves installed, but I haven't shown the actual install I'll be honest. The install was a pain in the backside because it's on to dock dab - and it happened to be just before I was sent these fixings from a company called metrics and have made these fixings called core fix and they're specifically designed for dot and damp. Unfortunately, I didn't have them at the time of doing this job I'll be looking at these at some point later on, but if you are doing dot, dump heavy fixings on walls. These are certainly worth having a look at they're called core fix and the from ethics.
