Candle holders are no longer solely for holding candles They have become great looking, exciting fixtures. Not only do they show off the candle but they compliment the surrounding decor. They can be used as intended or they can be used purely as a decorative piece, even as a centre piece. They come in a whole host of styles, shapes and designs. These days candles have many functions, it only makes sense that the candle holder should be equally functional and exciting.
Taper holders are created to hold taper candles. Taper candles are a slim wax candle that is thinner towards the top of the candle, and thicker near the bottom. These generally require the proper candle holder specific to a certain candle size. Hurricane holders are generally made out of large glasses. The tall shape generally will cover the entire candle. It is designed to protect the nearby objects of the candle from the heat and the flame given off. Generally seen in old lamps.
Today, candle holders come in a vast variety of designs, shapes, materials and themes. Candle holders have forged into every imaginable shape, including butterflies, bejeweled beveled glass holders, and seascape holders. Scented and aromatherapy candles make a fabulous choice for the bedroom, kitchen or bathroom. They neutralize the cooking odor, add a pleasant touch or warmth to the desired place. Available in almost all shapes, the size of candle holders provide an easy way to add a festive and lovely touch.
