The rug is a no-no here and the best thing about it is that if anybody spills anything on it, I will be so mad. However, you want it shaped and then, with an iron on low, I took another piece of fabric and I just tried to iron it out just to kind of square off the edges and get rid of any bump. Next was my glue gun. I just glued everything together and when I glued it, I made sure that I was pushing the fabric together instead of overlapping it.
So I put some glue on the edge and then just pushed it side-by-side, so it's flush against each other, so the hot glue is definitely strong enough to keep everything in place, and now I moved on to the stencil. It's just a regular stencil that I bought at Walmart and then with some spray adhesive. I sprayed the back of it and placed it in the very middle of the rug. Then I wanted, with some multi-surface pink using a flat stippling brush, and then I just stippled on all over the stencil.
When everything was dry, I removed the stencil and then I applied it in other parts of the rug where I wanted the same design. So now for the powerful, I use the Dollar Tree cotton twine and I just cut off the small piece and on this mason jar lid. I just draped the small piece on one side and then I took string and wrapped it around that once I felt that it was thick enough, I cut off the excess string and I tied the two top pieces together once that was tied, I did cut the Bottom piece and then I grabbed another piece of string and tied the top once that was tightened.
I just shaped it with my scissors. I cut off all the scraggly pieces and that was how I made the tassels so to apply the tassels. I flipped the rug on the back side, so I wanted some of the string to show. So when I applied it, I just applied a dab of glue and then place the tassel directly on top with some of the string showing and then I removed the excess pieces of string. You can measure yours out, I honestly really didn't care to, but I just did this till I got to the other side. So in order for the rug to have a little bit more grip, I use these non-slip drugs underlays. If you can't find these, you can also just use strips of hot glue and just place it all over, but I already have this on hand.
