While many people only see console tables as pieces that would go in the living room, they can really be spread throughout the house to offer a number of storage opportunities. You could place one console table in the entryway, as a place to put away keys, the mail, or other small items you may regularly have as you walk in and out of the house. This would be a great place for a more ornate console table. It could have one drawer to put those little items out of the way, but the rest could be a beautiful piece of wrought iron or hand tooled wood that will put visitors in awe as soon as they step in the door.
All of the material and finishing choices create console tables of different styles and designs. There are ones that have a modern feel to them with sleek geometric lines, others that are more on the traditional side that have a lovely elegant look to them, and some that are very antique that feature stunning looping wood or scrollwork. To check them all out and find just the right one to match the current style you have going on in your space, just go online and do some shopping. Its fast and when you do happen upon something you like, it generally is at the best prices possible.
Place one in a hall or entryway under a mirror and show off some of your favorite things in style. Many even co me with drawers and lower shelves providing more storage and display space. Try one with a cabinet behind your sofa to store a few favorite board games and jigsaw puzzles ready for family game night.
