cube shelves with LED. This is a great example of how you can integrate LED lighting strips into your project, and I can't wait to share it with you guys, because I really liked the way you came out now. If you enjoyed this video, please share it and give me a thumbs up and don't forget to subscribe to my channel for more project videos, but now, let's get into the build, shall we I'm going to be using big.little here, basically, I'm creating boxes.
So, of course, you could use any wood that you have on hand I'm going with mitered corners because that looks nice and clean. I got a few too large, so trimming a little and I always find it helpful to clamp down the wood when you cut miters out of hardwood, because otherwise it can sometimes push it a little and get the size just a touch off, which you can really Tell on mitered corners, so next up is using the router I'm running out grooves for LED strips to fit inside.
So here are my pieces and I've got wood, cut and grooved for three differently sized boxes to glue them up. I'm using masking tape to get the pieces lined up and then just fold it up like a package and the masking tape act as a clamp and then I just had to repeat two more times. So imagine open boxes like without a lid. That's what these are so now. I need to create some bags.
I've got some thin pieces of the same maple and I'm just roughly seeing the size here doing a little planning to get the edges smooth for a glue up and then just roughly cut into size. Once I had the pieces cut up for the three backs, I glued them up to fit the bags onto the boxes. I simply glued those on as well, and I have a piece of scrap wood on the other side here, so I can clamp it up properly.
