We all have those rooms that just have too much empty wall space with nothing to break up the background. While we like rooms to feel larger and spacious, there is a point where things just start to be downright barren where home décor is concerned. Large gaps or wide spaces in a room can be easily filled with console tables. These elegant yet understated accent tables add a sense of style while adding the convenience of increased storage.
The complexity of your table is also something you're going to have to consider. Some console tables are as simple as 4 small legs and a table. This is fine as long as it doesn't look too simple for the area you plan on putting it in, but if everything else in the room is larger and more complex, you'll want to go with something that matches. More complex tables offer neatly-designed backs, taller legs and other features.
As you undertake the purchase of console tables to help with your storage problems, you need to make a note of what you need before you buy. How much storage do you really need console tables to provide? Do you have minor to moderate storage needs? You may want to look at tables that are more ornate but only have a little storage area, like one long drawer. But if you realize you have a lot of things you need to find a place to put away, you should look for more practical console tables with more drawers or shelving options you can use to get control of your clutter.
