Some people buy new living room furniture every couple of years, while others make their furniture last for many years, until it literally falls apart. If you have kids in your home, as well as their friends, this may take place sooner than you think! A living room is just what the name says. It's a room you and your family will "live" in because of all the time that is spent there day after day. It is also the room where you'll be entertaining your guests, so you'll want it as tastefully decorated as possible whether your furniture is new or used. Sofas, console tables and lighting fixtures are the most common furnishings in your living room.
Console tables in your foyer do not need to be strictly decorative additions to the space. When you step in the front door, the console table is a logical place to drop your keys, the mail, and whatever else is in your hands. If you find one with drawers or a storage base, you can tuck away the children's gloves or the dog's leash. When it's outfitted with a mirror, it's a perfect place to take a glance at your hair or makeup before you walk out the door.
Once you see the variety of console tables available and their myriad of uses you may just find one for every room. Try one as a TV stand in the bedroom or a writing desk in the corner of the family room, or even as a catch all in the entryway. It is perfect resting spot for keys or a handbag. And besides use you can narrow down your search by shape, style or top material. Say you want a half circle table with lots of drawers or maybe one with a tropical twist wrapped in woven sea grass. Maybe you want a rectangular one with a roomy lower shelf for displaying a few things. You'll easily find the console table of your dreams hen you shop online and since you'll be at home you can take measurements to ensure that you find a table that fits perfectly in your designated space.
